JEREMY COHEN, ESQ.

Shortly after obtaining his bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell in 1997, Cohen relocated from Natick, MA to South Florida.  While employed by Fluor Corporation (one of the world's largest, publicly owned multinational engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance services companies) Jeremy made the decision to attend law school.

 

In 2002, Cohen graduated with honors from the Nova Southeastern University Law Center.  Since graduating, Cohen has often returned to Nova Southeastern as a Guest Speaker, Lecturer and Judge for Moot Court competitions.

 

After practicing as an attorney behind some inspiring mentors for several years, Mr. Cohen co-founded Cohen & Owens, PA, based in Hollywood, Florida in 2005.  Cohen & Owens, PA practiced in the areas of real estate litigation and transactions, civil and commercial litigation, commercial and residential landlord-tenant, estate planning and consumer protection.

 

Cohen has been selected as an Adjunct Professor and Presenter for the Nova Southeastern University Law Center, 2011 Florida Bar Association Annual Convention and the Broward County Bar Association.

 

In Cohen's free time, he enjoys being outdoors, scuba diving, boating, hiking, skiing, coaching youth soccer and spending time with family and friends.  Cohen volunteers at his son's school helping children learn to read along with participating in many local environmental clean up projects.  Cohen also serves as Director to the Jonathan D. Diamond Foundation, Inc., a Boston based philanthropic foundation for the benefit of medical institutes and individuals which met the Foundations' charitable criteria.

 

Cohen is admitted to the Massachusetts and Florida Bars.

ALEX M. WASHKOWITZ, ESQ.

A Massachusetts native, Alex was raised in Natick.  Alex attended undergraduate at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and earned his law degree at Suffolk University Law School, graduating with honors, in 1999.  Alex incorporates his passion of law with his life-long commitment to protecting others.

 

Alex's career began with an internship at the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office, Bureau of Public Protection, and upon graduating from law school, Alex relocated to Arizona where he worked for the U.S. Department of Justice.  With a desire to return to Boston, Alex accepted one of the first positions in a newly formed U.S. Department of Homeland Security in 2002.  Alex has been regarded as a trusted advisor to family and friends needing legal real estate guidance which eventually evolved into an independent practice offering legal services concentrated in residential real estate law and estate planning.  Alex has built a network of contacts in the local community and has a reputation for being dedicated, sincere, responsive and always operating for the best interests of his Clients.

 

When Alex is not helping others through his legal services, he is a functional fitness and Crossfit enthusiast, and has a healthy appetite for a competitive challenge.  Alex is passionate about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has completed mulitple Spartan Race and Tough Mudder events.  When he's not running through mud and obstacles or at the gym, he enjoys watching football, reading, movies and spending time with family and friends.  Alex resides in Natick with his wife and two children. 

 

Alex is admitted to the Massachusetts Bar.
